Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Build & Sim is a free browser-based football game. No account or login is needed to play. This page explains what data the game uses and how it is handled.

What we collect

The game runs almost entirely in your browser. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personally identifying information.

We do handle the following:

  • Anonymous play events — actions such as simulating a season or sharing a result are sent to PostHog for analytics. These events contain no personally identifying information. We use them to understand how the game is played and to improve it.
  • Multiplayer display names — when you create or join a room you choose a display name that is visible to other players in that session. Room state is handled by PartyKit and exists only for the duration of the room. It is not retained after the room ends.
  • Share links — the "Copy Link" button encodes your team name and match statistics into the URL itself. Nothing is stored on a server; anyone with the link can decode its contents.

No advertising

Build & Sim does not show ads and does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Third-party services

Beyond PostHog and PartyKit, the game is hosted on Vercel. Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy.

Children

Build & Sim is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
